I've spent the last few days dying and being attacked by rabid animals, but I'm alive and semi-well so here goes nothing. There's something to be said about ethereal rock. You know that ambient kinda Velvet Underground/Morphine stuff that's trippy but catchy at the same time. Dirty Beaches are channeling sum a dat on the album Badlands. 'Sweet 17', 'Lord Knows Best' and 'True Blue' are amazing examples of Dirty Beaches' talent. Dirty Beaches is doing a free show as part of The Clift Hotel's 'Clift Sessions' August 19.
