I saw Lykke Li perform last night and was blown out of the water! Her light show and stage theatrics were outstanding. I would have to say it was the best show I've seen in years. It was 100% 'on' the entire show! If you haven't seen her live I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Opening for Lykke was Grimes. I had never heard of Grimes but was shocked at how strong her performance was. It was basically her performing sans band but with a keyboard, a mic, some electronic equipment and a old burlap sack she shucked off mid-performance. The sounds coming from the stage were incredible. Here's some tracks from Grimes. It's mostly atmospheric in nature but a great listen nonetheless. Check it!
