Cibo Matto was quirky, funky, oddball Japanese style music that you either LOVED or HATED! As a foodlover I could appreciate songs like Know your Chicken, Beef Jerkey and who can forget Sugar Water on their first album Viva! La Woman. Their second album Stereotype A was notably more mellow but also amazing. Incorporating punk, bossanova and rap they teamed with Sean Lennon to take their sound to another level, a psychedelic level. Moonchild, Clouds, SciFi Wasabi and Clouds are standout tracks on that album. An EP released in 2008 included their cover of Agua De Marcos a bossanova classic.
