So Cinco de Mayo is a few days from now and it got me thinking...who says Cinco de Mayo has to include chips-n-salsa and mariachis?! How 'bout Sangria, paletas and some Esquivel!? Juan Garcia Esquivel was a Mexican born musical genius. He, some may argue, invented the jazz lounge sound of the 50's. I remember getting my first Esquivel! CD from BMG music. You remember them? You order 5 CD's free, pay for one, then get 2 more free?! The disc was titled: The Genius of Esquivel!; boy was that an accurate title.
